Chopard watches are known for their precision and accuracy combined with elegant designs. Founded in 1860 by Louis Ulysse Chopard, these watches were so accurate that they were acquired by the Swiss railway which was always noted for its punctuality in train schedules. In 1976 Chopard introduced their Happy Diamond collection. Later in 1996 a new Chopard watch was launched pioneering an in-house movement called LUC.
